Dr. Emily Dorey is an associate veterinarian at Park Veterinary Centre. Born and raised in Nova Scotia, she moved west during her final year of high school. She completed two undergraduate science degrees, one in biology and one in natural resources conservation, before attending veterinary school. She attended the University of Calgary's Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and completed her degree in 2021, before beginning her career at Park. She has a passion for preventative medicine, soft tissue surgery, and exotic animal medicine. She has completed Fear Free certification for small animals, birds, and shelter animals, and implements this training in all aspects of her work to make a pet’s clinic visit as low stress as possible.
Outside of work, she can be found hiking, camping, doing escape rooms, playing board games, volunteering and providing veterinary services to underserved communities. At home, she has an Italian Greyhound named Lillie who still loves to go on long walks but is usually found napping in the sun.
